Welcome to my new site!
So this project has its roots in the many fond memories I have of working alongside my Dad as he repaired and improved our homes. Even when I was old enough to be useful, it still seemed like magic to watch him work wood, paint, do masonry, pour cement, and dozens of other things. And all with a remarkably modest lineup of tools, many passed down from his family.

Years later, I was fairly certain I’d learned little or nothing until I owned my own home and needed routine repairs and improvements not sufficiently meaty to hire professionals. Once I got going, I found I’d retained most of the knowledge gained working with Dad and added to it over 30+ years of home ownership. As an added bonus, I always enjoyed the work and results and working with others whose home services skills supplemented my own.
Life
When you own a home and all that entails, you really come to appreciate the other set of services that add convenience, efficiency and, generally make home ownership and life more enjoyable. Over the years, I’ve had help with things like decluttering, hauling, selling stuff online, comparison shopping for tires and other things, finding a quality place to kennel our dogs, moving furniture, and more. In each instance, these services helped take the pressure off when traveling and working long weeks on end - or when I just needed an extra pair of hands for the heavy lifting.

Dave’s Home Services reflects my family’s experience as longtime homeowners, along with the devotion to client service over several decades of owning and operating a business. So, the formula here is to use my home+life experiences to provide:
Service excellence and reliability born of experience;
A good sense of the things that help add convenience, efficiency, stress relief, and enjoyment to home ownership and life;
A desire to help my neighbors.
